For the last 2 months I have been volunteering at the Western Washington Fruit Research Foundation Fruit Garden. It’s been a great opportunity for me to learn more about tree fruits. This beautiful garden is located at the WSU Research and Extension Site in Mt. Vernon. Today was the last volunteer day for the year. In January we will start up again. If you are in the area, stop by and take the self-guided tour. At the same location is the Discovery Garden that includes themed gardens such as vegetables, herbs, native plants, rose gardens and many others. It’s a great place to relax or to get ideas for your own garden. I took these pictures today – even the bare trees are beautiful!
